Watch 'Pot Shop,' A Hilarious Parody Of Macklemore And Ryan Lewis' 'Thrift Shop'
Yale grad and stand-up comic Steve Berke, who once ran for mayor of Miami Beach (?), just dropped “Pot Shop,” a HILARIOUS parody of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ viral smash “Thrift Shop.” But it isn’t just a parody for the sake of it — there’s some real meaning behind the video, like let’s crack down on the war on pot, everyone!
You know, I’m so happy for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Those white dudes are really blowin’ up. They’re not newcomers by any means, but by now pretty much everybody is getting into them, and their “debut” album The Heist is doing really well. They even have the No.1 song on the iTunes singles chart, which is awesome. But in our generation, the real gauge of success is how many parodies of your song/video live on YouTube. Treat yourself to the two videos and compare for yourself. Like you needed any more reasons to smoke pot.
