GIRL. GURL. GRRL. New Saturday Night Live cast member Kate McKinnon has stolen my heart. Not only is she the first openly lesbian cast member to be out while on the show, but she’s freaking hilarious and crushing it every week. Her impressions are amazing and her characters have been consistently funny and on point. I haven’t been this excited about a new cast member on SNL in like, basically ever.

Not that this has to matter for a female comedian, but Kate is also so, so pretty in this goofy, totally hot, totally awesome way. I am kind of in love, guys.

Name: Kate McKinnon

Age: 28

Occupation: Actress, comedian, impressionist, sketch writer and performer, blonde, lesbian, blonde lesbian.

Description: Kate McKinnon is a brand new SNL cast member who got her start doing sketch comedy in New York City. She performed at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater before spending three seasons as a cast member on LOGO’s The Big Gay Sketch Show. She’s also a voice actress having done voices on Venture Brothers and Ugly Americans. Her most popular character on TBGSS was a little boy named Fitzwilliam who wanted a vagina of his very own.

McKinnon has range. She can play sexy vixens or sexless weirdos just as well. I first heard about McKinnon in a web series called “Vag Magazine” about a crazy feminist-y magazine run by irrational nutbags. It’s so perfect in pitch and tone and just nails everything ridiculous about the Etsy-obsessed, bucket-bleeding brood. McKinnon is amazing in this series. Her relationship with Shannon O’Neill’s butch character is absolutely side-splitting.

Benefits to Marriage: I don’t think you’ve been paying proper attention: Kate McKinnon is a hot, funny lesbian. SHE IS FLAWLESS. So far she’s been the saving grace of this season of SNL and is poised to gracefully take over Kristen Wiig’s throne. If you marry her, get on this train early because Kate McKinnon is going to absolutely BLOW UP soon.

Everything she’s done on SNL so far has been brilliant. Her impressions of Tabatha Coffey, Theresa Caputo, Penelope Cruz and Ann Romney have been show-stopping. She also steals the stage every time she comes on for a Weekend Update one-off, like this week’s Italian woman who redid the painting of Jesus.

She’s also adorable and totally endearing, as evidenced by this clip where she talks about her altercations with strangers:

Drawbacks: If you’re a dude, sorry, Kate McKinnon is a lesbian. If you’re a lady, hooray! You win this round.

You Must Be: A girl, funny, goofy, able to handle a famous significant other, a fan of Saturday Night Live, someone who can stay up late at night, probably a comedian or at least someone with a good sense of humor/someone who can maybe do impressions?
