Rider Strong NOT In “Boy Meets World” Sequel
Should we be sad or should we applaud his restraint? Rider Strong, known to millions as Shawn Hunter, Corey’s floppy-haired, vaguely troubled best friend, has announced he will NOT be in Girl Meets World, the recently announced spinoff/career-CPR-vehicle.
In a heartfelt message on his website, Strong has announced he does not currently have any official involvement in Girl Meets World, although he holds out the possibility of a guest-appearance.
Strong writes, “At this point, I have no official involvement in Girl Meets World. There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, its own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters.”
The post also includes the sentence “Call it the universal language of Boy Meets World.”
Has Rider Strong’s Cabin Fever success gone to his head? Are you sad about this? Relieved Shawn will stay just as you remember him? Also, are Eric and Feeny going to be involved? Many questions remain.
