Hank, described as a “refreshing candidate” on his campaign website, came in third in the Virginia senate race thanks to write-in votes.
The campaign for Hank began as a joke, but his grassroots movement received over 7,000 write-in votes and raised $60,000 for animal rescue organizations — any other senate hopefuls who can say that? Didn’t think so. Let’s hope cat campaigns are here to stay — they look so good in bow ties!
