Don’t Worry, Everyone: 10 Celebrity Couples That Prove Love Is Real
10. Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward
This quote from Wikipedia says it all: “The Newmans lived away from the Hollywood environment, making their home in Westport, Connecticut. Newman was well known for his devotion to his wife and family. When asked once about infidelity, he famously quipped, ‘Why go out for a hamburger when you have steak at home?’” If someone I was with said that about me? They’d definitely get some steak.
9. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard
They just had another baby girl and are looking fantastically happy. (I’ve heard babies will do that to you.) A low-key couple, they’ve been together since 2002 and got married in a small ceremony in 2006. You rarely hear anything about them in the tabloids which I always like. Keep it private, celeb couples. Maggie and Peter do it right.
8. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale
Despite some initial hiccups involving insecurity, Gwen and Gavin seem in it to win it. They seem really, really in love even after all this time. Plus, they’ve got two adorable little boys. Gavin, Gwen: Can I be part of your family please? I promise to rock a mohawk if that’s what it takes.
7. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Did you guys know Tom Hanks signs all his Tweets “Hanx” and it’s the cutest thing ever? If you love Mr. Hanks, by extension, you gotta love his long-time lady friend Rita Wilson. They’ve been married for 24 years! That is as long as I’ve been alive. Wow.
6. Robin Thicke and Paula Patton
Robin Thicke writes a lot of his songs about his wife, Paula Patton. He also put her in the music video for “Lost Without U,” which is super cute. In an interview with Essence.com, Thicke also said he likes to give Paula “double digit” orgasms. Oh. My. You go, Robin.
5. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick
I just watched Kyra on Conan talking about how Kevin pursued her for a date all those years ago by scheduling them dual massages at a hotel when they were working on a film together. Nice moves, Bacon. Very smooth. They been married since 1988, and even survived finding out that they’re distant cousins on a TV show where Sedgwick investigated her familial roots. Yikes. True love, indeed, conquers all.
4. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
Did anyone else see the new Harold and Kumar solely because Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were in it together? No? Just me? Not only were they hilarious acting like a-holes together and to each other in the name of comedy, but then they can come down off that and pose for heartwrenchingly beautiful photos with their twins. Talk about security and trust.
3. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi
The things I would have done to be at this wedding are unspeakable. Ellen and Portia just always look so in love, it’s like they have a glow around each other. Whenever Ellen talks about Portia on her show (or other shows), she lights up. They also never argue. Ugh, they are too perfect.
2. Beyonce and Jay-Z
Beyonce and Jay-Z go together like peanut butter and jelly, like nerds and D&D, like well…Beyonce and Jay-Z. They collaborate on music, as well as care for their little baby — not Blue Ivy. I mean Kanye West. (Zing.) These two are absolute royalty and no one breaks up and the King and Queen.
1. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn
THE ULTIMATE. These two are so secure they’ve never felt the need to officially tie the knot. (I mean, why bring the government into love, right?) They’ve got four kids and have been together since 1983, with no signs of turmoil afoot. Look at them. Look at how she looks at him. They are so cute, I want to throw myself Overboard. (Wink.)

I would rather jump around and sweat my body to a Lady Gaga song. Yoga is so overrated.
13. ‘Wilmer Valderrama Presents Yo Momma: The Movie’
4. When I mentioned my idea of applying for a competitive writing fellowship in addition to graduate programs, and you told me I shouldn’t.
Women want to see you in social situations, outdoors doing manly activities, on a boat holding a fish, ANYTHING that indicates you’ve got a life.
