This video is so exciting. Here we have 90′s style Billy Corgan, Michael Jackson, Kurt Loder, Coolio (“If you ain’t on the information superhighway baby than where is it?”) Sandra Bullock, and more on “the worldwide computer network called the Internet,” as well as a younger Newt Gingrich swinging, surprisingly, for the Free Speech/ Pornography On The Internet Is OK Team. Sad that he doesn’t appear to be as level-headed nowadays. But who knew people used to go to jail for internet porn, as this MTV News segment so elucidates? I thought everyone was still using their friends’ dad’s Penthouses up until like 2000, like I was. TC mark

    I grow nostalgic for this time every now and then…it’s difficult to explain how magical the internet seemed  back then.  It makes me feel really old when I talk to teenagers who can’t remember not having access to the web.

      Ah, the 90s.  Back when everyone knew that Michael Jackson was a hack with a strange fondness for children.  Now, Corgan’s a jerk for pointing out the a-hole mailed in his performance.

      Sure, the irony is there since Corgan has mailed in everything he’s done since 1997 onwards, but still.  When he had hair, Corgan was unstoppable.
