The Internet Explained By MTV And Celebrities, Circa 1995
This video is so exciting. Here we have 90′s style Billy Corgan, Michael Jackson, Kurt Loder, Coolio (“If you ain’t on the information superhighway baby than where is it?”) Sandra Bullock, and more on “the worldwide computer network called the Internet,” as well as a younger Newt Gingrich swinging, surprisingly, for the Free Speech/ Pornography On The Internet Is OK Team. Sad that he doesn’t appear to be as level-headed nowadays. But who knew people used to go to jail for internet porn, as this MTV News segment so elucidates? I thought everyone was still using their friends’ dad’s Penthouses up until like 2000, like I was.
