Oh man, white girls, you crossed the line this time. I think some discretion should have been used here, because you may have just made yourselves into the next Rebecca Black, and it’s possible you’ve all just lost any position in your little fraternity/ sorority hierarchy your house may have had previous to the unveiling of this extremely embarrassing video. I have a feeling you’ll be taking this down soon, but I dunno if you’re going to be able to avoid the forthcoming onslaught. Someone has to have copied it by now.     I’m actually going to commend them rather than mock them. All of those girls getting together and making a video that’s pro-Greek rather than pro-*insert organization* is a lot better than the usual sniping and in-fighting that’s common in college greek communities.

    I also don’t see anything wrong with this. It’s *intentionally* dorky & fun, and the girls are not all from the same house – they’re on the Panhellenic Executive Council that runs the whole show (which, at Alabama, consists of 1700 girls rushing). 

    I’d be lucky if this were the biggest mistake of my life.

        Eh not totally obvious. The comments about this video on the blogs today (not just TC but gawker, etc.) have used this as an excuse to make “OMG White girl rapping must stop” and “Lulz sorority girls are dumb” quips that are really irritating.

        I agree. This video is a pretty good litmus test. It’s silly, but there’s an inherent silliness (that I do love) that goes along with greek life – the nicknames, the pledging process, etc, etc.

    I was in a sorority in college, and yes on the outside people can make their judgments, but they’re just having fun. To say mean comments on something that’s meant to be fun and silly doesn’t warrant a TC article.  Please make a contribution that is actually interesting next time.
